These are my new Christmas cards for a class coming up in October. They were a lot of fun. Love little Popcorn bear. He reminds me of my third daughters Fisher Price Freddy Bear, she is waiting on #3 son (due in Nov.). So far she hasn't given her newest Freddy to either of her other boys. New Freddy has hair unlike his fellow shelf sitter Old Freddy. Freddy was a well traveled guy. He had gone to Italy, seen the Pope in Colo, etc. Unfortunately he did not get to go on her honeymoon...and no longer gets to sleep in THE bed. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Have to run the cards to the shop. Decided to scan them first. Two of my Halloween cards walked out the door long before the class, and we hadn't scanned them. I make so many cards, it was hard to remember what they looked like. One customer came in and reminded me, there was green stitched ribbon on the Pumpkin. Thanks Dee. Appreciated that.

This is my challenge card for stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com
Psalm 62:6-8 Only in God be at rest, my soul, for from him comes my hope. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be disturbed, with God is my safety and my glory, he is the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
Sometimes, that is all we have, just knowing he will help us in the bad times, he will get us through to the other side. When life doesn't make sense and 2 plus 2 no longer makes 4, he will be there for us.

A lady came in Thursday, asking for a class for 10 people who have never did any cards, crafts, etc......then she told us she needed the class Tuesday at 9 am. I told the boss, I thought I could do it. This nice lady new she wanted two Christmas cards, one birthday and one birthday with a recipe. I needed something pretty simple, so this is what I ended up with. Everything is precut except for the little cupcake. I even added liquid applique to give the frosting more dimension. Would have loved to use my Copics, but not for beginners. The Happy Birthday letters are felt with tiny candles, the baloons are a punch, inked slightly to give depth and the Ultimate white gel pen to add highlights. Inside is the word "Celebrate" in large letters from the same name cartridge.

For quick and easy Christmas cards the Cricut is just the best. I tend to ink instead of adding a second layer for making the sleigh pop. Inside is a Cricut gift in the blue, with ribbons of red. Simple Christmas ornaments backed in silver paper, and a snowman attatched to the front of the card. The negative of the snowflake is added inside with a white snowflake brad attatched to its middle. So many of our customers are working on their Christmas cards already...God bless them.

Sunday, yes, got my slideshow to post correctly, I am so happy. we returned from Milwaukee Tuesday, back to work on Wednesday. Our oldest daughter flew in yesterday from Chicago. Her husband flew home to open their deli-grocery store for a week without her. Our grandchildren had spent the week with their other grandparents at the house at Lake Garda. From what we heard all three had a ball. Alessandro reached home about 9:10am our time. No problems flying, etc. When my daughters in Topeka returned from Chicago/Milwaukee their flights were cancelled and it was a rougn trip driving home in the storms.

Check out below for my photobucket pictures, click and it will bring them up. Neatest thing, when looking at pictures taken in Italy the other day, I came upon one of my own, my name was below it . Believe you are suppose to ask before doing that, but I was thrilled just seeing it.

Was finally able to get a link to my photos, but why is it not doing the slideshow? One day I will know these and many more answers, just hope I won't be dead by then. Have to get packed we leave this morning to fly into Milwaukee. Two of my daughters and their families landed in Chicago early afternoon. My daughter Judi and her husband Alessandro are on their flight from Italy. We get to see them tomorrow evening in Milw. Jeanne and Bobbi/families will arrive Friday to get ready for my sister=in=laws birthday party. My kids in Phoenix are unable to attend and will be sadly missed. When we send pictures over the internet they can include shots of themselves and it is almost like them being with us. Creative people. I will return next Wed. Have a great time while I am gone. Pals Paper Arts. This was fun. I had a stencil made from a stamp, using the positive and negative, stippling with my inkpad. Stamping my small Rome stamp and tucking in a couple of old coins, black ribbon for a little drama. Simple and hopefully elegant.

This is my first challenge for Stamping 411. Lovely as a tree was used for the background. Congrats for the saying, and of course SU border and flower punches. It is almost impossible to see the dot cuttlebug that was used on the bottom and then stamped over. Wanted a little more black on the card, next time I will highlight the dots with an almost dry inkpad.

If anyone can tell me why my preview pictures, text is different than what shows up, please help

This is my swap card for July. I was somewhat limited in what I had to use. The effect that I was going for was to show techniques that work well together. "Sanded" background stamp was used for the top of the card, using soft suede ink. The Sizzix scallop circle 2 was used to partially cut the top of the card and fully cut out of dusty durango card stock, using both the large and small scallop. A mask was made using the large scallop, inking and sponging to create more dimension. Sponging with dusty durango the bottom to create another effect. Inside the large scallop has been sponged with dusty durango, the small scallop stamped to create a small center. The color spritzer tool was used on the inside small scallop and the inside white of the card. Black ink edges part of the of the card and in three places around the large main scallop to pop the look that little bit more.
